I don't always say the most interesting and engaging things when talking to people about Team Beachbody and getting healthy but I am regularly amazed at some of the stuff that does come out of my mouth. Without much thought I manage to at least capture the interest of "new blood" one way or another and I do it regularly. That's why my business doesn't ever stagnate. The interest and fascination I seem to have in the eyes of a growing number of people did NOT happen in a vacuum and it probably won't happen in a vacuum for you either. It's the ten pages of a good book a day and the good audio a day, EVERY day, that made the difference. If you are failing to capture a true genuine interest in anyone you talk to about Team Beachbody and getting healthy then you cannot just keep at it and hope you become more interest as time gos on with all fingers crossed. That is not a good philosophy! Keep practicing the art of conversation BUT you MUST also include daily personal development. Read AT LEAST ten pages of a good book a day and listen to AT LEAST 15 minutes of good audio each and every day and don't stop. If you do that while engaging your brain in what you're reading and listening to then IT'S INEVITABLE YOUR ABILITY TO INSPIRE PEOPLE WILL GROW. The reason I know you will grow is because each time you put something good into your mind you advance your perspective. However small the advancement in perspective is, it's a movement in the right direction making it absolutely INEVITABLE to work in your favor so that time promotes you rather than exposes you. Read "the slight edge" by Jeff Olson and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. If you don't do anything to advance your perspective each time you try and talk to somebody then your just kicking at a dead horse, and the dead horse isn't your prospect, you're the dead horse. Don't be a dead horse. Advance your perspective every day no matter how small.
Having done just a little bit of personal development every day for the past year and a half my brain has been re programmed from where my mind was a year and a half ago. Quite often when I see a comment in a thread on facebook something incredibly interesting will come to mind and I will put it out there; attracting new blood. Without the reading and the good audio I truly believe with all of my being that I would not be nearly as interesting as I am today in the eyes of some people. Go out and meet ten people who do not continuously feed their mind with good things consistently and then meet ten more people who do feed their minds with good things consistently and you will find a stark contrast between interesting and non interesting between the two groups of ten. People who do nothing to advance their perspective on anything are VERY stale and boring people. But, any stale person can seek a new perspective and become suddenly more interesting. This is true in business and in life. It's especially true in network marketing.
This writing, and my other writings, for example are products of my readings and listenings. I haven't read or listened to these analogies I've made but I've taken in soooooo much consistently that I can create my own while still underscoring the same basic old fundamentals that never change.
When I'm interacting with others on my friends facebook walls, or just with friends on their walls, or even just posting stuff on my own wall I mix it up so people experience a whirl wind of a VERY wide scope of different emotions but all of them with a positive aim. I would even say that I shoot from the hip; first thing to pop into my brain to keep it raw and un filtered which makes it more interesting. I read somewhere that our initial gut feeling or thought is usually the correct and more interesting one. I trust my instincts but I have to exercise caution here. The ONLY time I find myself filtering what I put out there is if my mind is in the gutter (hey it happens I'm only human ), or if its a hot button topic that people traditionally can't handle in our culture. It stinks it has to be that way but that's the way it is and I am in network marketing so I don't want to alienate people.
I know this is going to sound cliche but most importantly when I'm interacting with people I have fun with them. I enjoy them. If someone makes statements without any foundation or is just plain rude I don't care it's none of my business what they think of me or my opportunity because they've disqualified themselves anyway. That really doesn't happen often though. All of that kind of thing speaks to my posture. Posture has to be spot on and it's picked up either on line or off line.
Bottom line is you'll be able to speak more interesting more fluently with consistent personal development such as the reading and audio DAILY. That's really it. That's how you grow to the point of amazing yourself at some of the stuff that comes out of your mouth ( or typing fingers ) and ultimately inspiring people to step up and join you in your Team Beachbody opportunity.
