Step 3 Discussion of the 5 Step Invite Process

 Earlier this week a great discussion opened up about step 3 of the 5 step invite process. Most people seem to fall off there. So I opened it up for discussion in a thread and the feedback from other coaches who've found things that work really well is so incredibly valuable that the coaches who are plugged into that group are going to potentially make building there own BB biz MUCH easier. Here is that thread see what you can pick up from it to help you with your business...

 Tom Birkenmeyer:
 Which Video do you use in the 5 step invite process in step 3? Some videos seem to lose more people than others.. If you are doing really well with the 5 step invite system share what video you're using in step 3 that your prospects are making the commitment and financial investment...

 Melanie Bolen:
 In all honesty... I've never used any videos. I just ask questions, get their interests, and go from there. I've never needed to use the video for those who want to do the challenge. Occasionally, if they can't pick a program, I'll send previews for a couple so they can pick which looks most fun/doable to them. I use the "Introducing Team Beachbody" one, however, if they are a coach prospect.

 thank you Melanie that's extremely valuable. What does your personal five step process look like particularly step 3? Or do you do something different?

 I've noticed the default video really turns people away because it goes into the Coaching part. I haven't I found a good replacement other than finding out what program they may like first and inserting that, or inserting the videos of previous winners and success stories

 Melanie Bolen:
 After asking questions I'm usually on step 4. Step 3 is something I use if they are completely unfamiliar with Beachbody or their programs. A lot of people who end up joining my challengers already have a program OR they at least know what Beachbody is. I'm not saying that Step 3 is unncessary, by any means, and I surely encourage people to use if, especially if they want to build excitement and fear that they words may not do so... but, for me, by the time I'd be at step 3 the people have already decided that they are IN. If they were on the fence, still, I'd surely use the video.

 I, personally, (sorry Carl), think Carl's video is kinda boring and not exactly excitement inducing. That second one stirs more emotions, in my opinion.

 VERY good info guys. thank you so much for your input. i find the same thing, the video we are told to use turns ppl OFF and i've been having a hard time getting the close i think in part because of that. def. want some good info to leverage with the prospects!

 I use the take the challenge one listed above if they have weight to loose, then if they want to get toned I use the get ripped one that is also in the tbcallengebox just recently I started skipping step 3 and adding it to the end of step 4 saying I hope this gets u pumped up! U ready to start?

 I only got to step 2 and it was only 1 person. And he never answered my 2nd question.

 As you improve the numbers ratio improves to. thats my struggle. Not happy with my ratio

Leadership Development

 Got some coaches who wanted to build big and doing something totally different?  Have you tried to motivate, motivate, motivate, and have no results from it? 

Stop motivating them!

Let them know you're here when they're serious about doing what they said they were going to do and spend that time talking to new people, prospecting, and bringing more willing people into your team. I've found that trying to motivate people almost never works. And when it does its for five minutes because they have no vision or purpose. They who need motivation every step of the way have no understand of the consequences of their inaction.  They will just suck up your time, if you let them, when you could be out there prospecting and looking for long term business developers. 

Leaders are created on their own!  You don't need to sell them on it they have already sold it to themselves!  Your job is to NOT demotivate those who understand the consequences of their inaction.  There is a BIG chasm between “I want” and “I will”.  VERY few will actually follow through and do what it takes to make that happen.

Use the system to develop leadership in people where it’s creating the desire for them to grow.  Lets put it this way, you can’t spend time in a community of people who are growing and doing something extraordinary with their lives and not wanna do something great with your own life.  You can’t hang around non excuse makers and wanna stay the same.  Stick around a powerful atmosphere long enough and something happens you cant help yourself because environment is everything and we are a product of our environment.  Hang out with committed people you get committed.  Hang out with lazy people and you become lazy.  You need to hang out in communities like this and plug your fellow long term business developers into communities like this!

Not everyone wants to go where you wanna go. You meet them where they are at.  Learn to find out what matters to them and close them on their own goals. If they are serious you will not have to motivate them because they've sold themselves thanks to your leadership! If they join your team because they've been convinced to join then you have someone you have to motivate.  yuk!!

Leadership is developed two fold.  A.) environment. B.) It's your job to find out what matters to them and close them on that so they have sold themselves on why they must do this according to their own "WHY". It's your job to keep them on track, encourage them, support them, plug them into a system and an atmosphere. Its their job to SHOW UP every day and do the work consistently. It's their job to stay plugged in and stay in a teachable state.  It's their job to Invest in themselves and be welcoming of continuous correction and re correction.  They take one step you take two steps.  They take two you take four.  They disappear you disappear.  Match their efforts and teach them to be Deserving of your time.  Your time is NOT available by need but by deserve so as a leader the burden is to teach your team mates how to DESERVE your time.

You got started cause your dreams are pretty big.  The only thing between where you’re at now and where you wanna go is skill. Here is where you’re going to get the skill its your job to be driven by your dream, your purpose, and show up every day to increase your skill and apply what you learn so you can move toward your dream.

Think about who you hang out with all the time and who you’re surrounded by.  Is there a lot of lacking in commitment?

What do you do when nobody seems interested?

I get this quite often: "I have contacted everyone I know...nobody seems interested...I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...what should I do..."

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS:

Do I send 3-5 random messages EVERY SINGLE DAY to start a conversation with someone? (You have GOT to step outside of your circle of friends...let them know what you are doing..but move on!!)

Do I write down the names of EVERY SINGLE PERSON that I send an email to with notes next to their name so conversation can be remembered? (The fortune is IN THE FOLLOW-UP!!)

Do I follow up with EVERY SINGLE PERSON I have contacted? (Within 2-3 days follow up!!)

Do I listen the National Coach Call EVERY SINGLE MONDAY? (Or listen to the recording later that day)??

Do I tune in to other weekly calls and webinars? (There will be ONE NUGGET that you take away from EVERY call that will help you to build!!)

Am I reading my Personal Development book every day?

Am I making a TO DO LIST every single day?? (Best thing that ever happened to me!)

Am I a product of the product? Am I taking the necessary steps for MY OWN HEALTH so that I can help others?

AM I FOLLOWING THE GAME PLAN??

If you can't answer YES to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE QUESTIONS...you need to take a step back...go back through the New Coach Training Academy...register for some NEW COACH TRAINING webinars through Platinum Presenters and START BUILDING!!

You cannot expect ANYTHING to happen with your business if you toss out a flyer here and there...hand out a few business cards...and hope somebody comes to YOU! You have GOT to step out of your comfort zone a little bit and WORK YOUR BIZ!!

YEP...I know...you are thinking..gee that sure sounds like a TON of stuff to do EVERY SINGLE DAY...what if I don't have the time for EVERYTHING?

POWER HOUR! I can almost guarantee that sending your 3-5 daily messages and doing your follow up emails will take less than one hour...get in..get it done..and get out.

Go on with your day...schedule the phone calls/webinars into your phone...set an alarm to remind you. This will become so natural to you that you actually plan your morning around it--or you know you have to set your alarm for later in the evening to listen to the recording. PRIORITIZE YOUR DAY!!

Assignment: If you have not already.. Start following Lindsay Matway, Barbie Decker, Hillary Kelly, and Christina Richardson. Like their pages and really study them. Not just what they are sharing but how they are interacting with people on their wall. Spend 20 minutes a day really studying them! US leaders are all doing the same stuff but with this group I gave you we represent a very wide scope of different "flavors" of doing the same things. You really need to look at more than just what I'm doing because you may relate to someone elses flavor more than you do mine and I want you all to have a mentor that you naturally gravitate toward whomever that is so long as they've already built a big BB biz. It's really important you become a collection of many great ideas from many great leaders as you develop your own FLAVOR.

The FLOW of making a powerful Recommendation

Heres the flow of what works so well:

You share a real life story => someone expresses interest usually in the form of a question about what was used or a statement about how they struggle personally => you invite them to look at information. When you make the invitation to someone who expresses interest you could say, "Are you looking for a better way to get healthy? That's what I do. If you're interested in looking at information I can send you some to see if it's good fit for you to try. Let me know and I'll send you some info." => share a 3rd party tool probably a video from your video library => follow up by asking what they liked most, listen, and make a recommendation. If they are not ready for whatever reason let them know, "in your own time when you're ready I'm here." This safely keeps a person in your tumbler without alienating them so that when they are ready you are the logical choice to go to :)

YOUR GOAL IS TO GET TO EMERALD ASAP! HOW?

NEXT LEVEL –DAILY TRAINING:

1.Write out your Weekly Schedule! - Knowing your dedicated work hours and dedicated tasks for those work hours will make you very efficient and making forward motions every day. Be sure to prioritize on your daily list the top 3 items on your to-do list for that day, and do them 100%. More than that just call yourself an overachiever that day! :-)
2.Be a Product of the Product! - By now, your Shakeology Home Direct order is in, and you have probably started using it! Continue to create your own special and favorite recipes!! Being excited about your creations only makes it easier to share and talk casually about Shakeology. Continue or start your work out programming as well. If it’s not a Beachbody program at this time, be sure to start developing motions for a healthier lifestyle actively so you have greater progress and motions in developing your story.
3.Start Using Your LIST! - Have it on hand with you everywhere you go! Schedule in your daily/weekly schedule people that are on your list, on those days to prospect/share this opportunity.
EXAMPLE: Sue Jones is on your list. Schedule to contact Sue by phone during one of the open time slots on your Beachbody work schedule for a particular day. Contact Sue and briefly share why you are calling her, and recommend she also look into the product/video presentation, and then ask her what day & time you can follow up with her? So if you called Sue on Tues and she watched the Webinar Tues night, follow up with her Wednesday. "LATHER, RINSE, REPEAT” for Joe Brown, Judy Dunkin, Sherry Stiller, etc., etc., etc.

If you keep making calls on your list, keep following up with people, you will sign up your first 2 coaches fairly quickly. This is a business about "prospecting". So if you avoid this one step, it's impossible for your business to grow.

ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT STEPS:

■WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING? Or WHAT'S NEW WITH YOU? - Do you know how to answer those questions? Because if you are thinking; “WHY YES! I know this one!!! I'll say ‘I'm a Beachbody Coach!’”, well then you may have a much harder time being able to take sharing this business or products to the next level. People know the PRODUCT names, not the company name. Suggest finding YOUR answer, but an EXAMPLE: "I just started my own company in health/fitness with the company that makes P90x, Turbo Fire, and Insanity… Have you ever heard of those work outs?" WAIT FOR AN ANSWER! "I personally love their products and wanted to really get as healthy as I can while helping others, so this is why I chose to do this as a home business with them."
■SCHEDULE YOUR SHAKEOLOGY TASTING PARTY or PRODUCT LAUNCH PARTY or COACHING BUSINESS PARTY! - Are you a social butterfly and love to invite people over for a get together? This is a perfect start for you! All you have to be is a HOST to a party! You have probably done that before, right? Light food, FUN, Music, Shakes, theme party---make it your own! Suggest using EVITE.COM
