Through some good ol' fashion trial and error I've finally created a fitness challenge that people are participating in and I'm growing my business at the same time. So naturally I wanted to share the wealth with you so that you may benefit from my experience. If I can save you from making mistakes that cost more time then I'm happy :-) You don't have to do it exactly like me, you can copy me word for word, you can let it inspire new ideas.. However you think it may help you please do it :-)

Service to others while being kind to yourself. That's how you achieve health, happiness, and freedom.
The most selfless thing you can do is PUT YOURSELF FIRST IN YOUR LIFE because self neglect makes you less capable of helping others. Without great health, vitality, and clarity of mind you can’t be as affective as you could have been if only you had put yourself first. It may be hard for some to wrap their mind around but the honest to god truth is if you put yourself first, with selfless intentions, you will be able to act more selflessly in helping others than you could have otherwise.
Some of us are loaded with excuses why we don't go after the things we really truly want. If you're willing to cut that out right now then this "You First" challenge is perfect for you.
I will dedicate myself to helping anyone who wants to better themselves with some one on one attention. But I must warn you... If you disappear, I disappear. If you want to run with this I will run right along side with you. We do this together. You're in this for yourself, not by yourself. It's the associations and interactions we make with other human beings that make us or break us so pick those associations carefully. It's the inspiration we give each other that truly lifts us up and drives us to achieve meaningful things in our lives. That's exactly why I won't go chasing after those who sign up and then just want to drag their feet through the mud. My success, as well as yours, depends on our associations and I don't want bad attitudes to rub off on me and start affecting what I do. If you disappear, I disappear from you. If you move, I move. 1.) FIRST MAKE SURE YOU RSVP YOURSELF TO THE CHALLENGE.
2.) EMAIL ME your "Why" at tom@beachbodycoach.com. Your WHY is why you're doing this. Your why, as well as the prize for accomplishing, is what's going to drive you. If your why is strong enough to make you cry then that's going to anchor you in such a strong way that nothing will be strong enough to break that anchor and pull you away from achieving.
3.) Pick up a Team Beachbody program if you haven't already and commit to the exercise and meal plan. I've done challenges in the past where I didn't require a Team Beachbody program but they rarely worked out so I'm not going to bother with someone iffy any more. No more fooling around with stuff that doesn't work or is questionable at best. Team Beachbody works every time without exception so you must commit to an actual Team Beachbody program to take part in this challenge. If you need to get one and need help picking one out let me know and I will help. I'm pretty well versed in them. If Time is your problem then pick up ten minute trainer. There really are no more excuses everyone has ten minutes a day.
4.) Drink Shakeology every day. It doesn't matter who you are or what your fitness goals are everyone benefits from drinking Shakeology and you come out ahead financially to if you use it to replace one or two meals a day so that's a nice bonus. 5.) Take Before / after pictures and measurements. Take a few simple front, back, and side shots. Use the same background, same time of day, and keep all the same variables between the before and after so that we see a true comparison. Do this once a month so you can see the changes they occur at thirty day increments. This is crucial because seeing progress is going to enormously fuel your own motivation AND if you decide to share with others it's going to help inspire more people to do something positive about there health and that's something the world desperately needs more of.
6.) This one is the Most IMPORTANT component to this whole deal. Read 10 pages or more of a good book every day. We should never rob ourselves on having a balance of mind, body, and spirituality. To be dominant in one area at the sacrifice of everything else is not success. Success, fulfillment, happiness, can ONLY be found in balance. Anyone and everyone has time to read just ten pages of a good life changing book a day. I recommend starting with "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson and "Failing forward" by John C. Maxwell. This step falls under the heading of personal development. Without personal growth nothing else works. It doesn't matter if you have the best program in the world, the best support team, the best exercises and meal plans, if you don't experience personal growth then you'll grow stale and success will always be so far away. My three years of doing this has taught me that everything else is a waste of time if you don't take care both MIND and body. Abraham Lincoln said if you give me only six hours to chop down a tree I will spend the first 4 sharpening my axe. Zig ziglar talks about the lumber jack whos wood production fell 40% one year because he never took the time to sharpen his axe. Take the time to sharpen your "axe" regularly in small amounts every day and YOU WILL be significantly more productive in reaching your goals than if you had not. You can pick up these books at amazon for less than ten bucks a copy. Easy!
7.) Have fun. With the wide variety of exercises and workouts you'll be doing just by following a Team Beachbody program you won't get bored. The meal plan will teach you how to eat to fuel your body instead of starving your body. That's another huge reason why I'm not going to create new challenges anymore that don't include a team Beachbody program. They are such a complete waste of time for too many people. Team Beachbody programs in my experiences has always maximized peoples time as well as there results.
The Prize!!! Monetary value cannot be placed on the emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental value in the prize for accomplishing excellent health and over all feelings of wellness. 5. You must add a comment to the event wall at least once per week. Interaction is critical. The inspiration we give each other is what will take us to the next level. If you don't interact, you don't win.
Simple basic EASY stuff that anybody can do. No excuses. Let's do it!

Now at first it was not working. I may have gotten 20 people to sign up for it, but no one did the first requirement after rsvp'ing themselves to the fitness challenge. Seriously ZERO out of twenty was following through with the challenge. Then I sent everyone two group emails. In the first email I reminded everyone to email me their "Why" and let them know that the fitness challenge won't work to change their lives for the better if they do not work the challenge. At the bottom of the first email I told everyone to stay tuned to a prize that EVERYONE can win and that I'd send it out later that day.
The second email went out later that day with the prize AND I added prize incentive criteria to the bottom of the More Info section of the event page. Within a half hour I started receiving emails and some of my participants started following through :-) I put a strict deadline on it. ANYTIME you offer a prize incentive you MUST put a deadline on it or people typically won't act on it. And for most prizes it's also Team Beachbody company policy to attach a deadline to it and for good reason!
